AMBITION:
Life Savers has been established in 2002 by the individuals who feel that people at the grass root level should be directly involved in the preparation and implementation of policies and program in a manner that the community should be mobilized and self reliance institutional structure could be boosted.
To enhance and improve the living standard of deprived neglected and underprivileged masses through sustainable development by adopting participatory approach.

INTRODUCTION:
Life Savers is a private, non-sectarian, charitable and non-political organization solely established with the purpose of helping needy and poor people to help themselves to combat the scourge of ignorance, diseases and malnutrition. (Life Savers embarks on socioeconomic development projects in the areas based on the genuine developmental needs of our masses and the country. As all such projects share the common objective i-e to help poor people, develop their resources and capacities to the level where they can take care of themselves and enable them to manage their own affairs themselves efficiently utilizing all the available resources both human and materials for improvement and betterment of their living conditions.)

Under the project "LIFE SAVERS GREEN EARTH PLAN" Life savers is intrested to launch "recycling of waste papers" First time ever in PAKISTAN.


DID YOU KNOW THAT?
It takes:
17 trees and 1500 liters of oil to produce one ton of paper.
In Pakistan, nearly 7000 tons of waste is disposed of daily, or 2.6 million tons a year (2008).
Approx. 25% of the waste is paper.
At least 50% of the waste is recycable.
Producing Recycling paper creates 74% less air pollution and 35% less water pollution than producing paper from virgin fibers.
